A squeeze page is a type of website landing page that marketers use to collect email opt in permission from visitors. The goal is to persuade (or ‘squeeze’) the user to provide the permission to email them by offering them some sort of valuable content, offers or by unrestricting access to a highly sought after part of the website.
While this sounds annoying, generally a user will not know they’ve even landed on a squeeze page. It could be as simple as someone looking to view a report or video but in order to gain access to that item, they’re requested that they ‘sign up’ as a user to gain access. Many users feel their email addresses are private personal information – so in order to receive their permission for your company to email them, you’re going to need to offer them something of real value.
